Back to School

It's a little bitter sweet this year for several reasons.  Kylee starts kindergarten and I'm thrilled she will be in the same building with me all day.  There's just something about having her so close.  On the other hand, this means she's growing up.  I never thought taking her to kindergarten would come so quickly.  It's a little different for me this year too.  After two wonderful years of teaching 4th graders at Grace Hartman and the making of some really wonderful friends, I am now going to be teaching 3rd graders at Shannan Elementary.  I know I will love the school and I am truly excited about the grade level change.  I can't wait to get in my room and get things organized.

Yesterday, Charlie and I took Kylee to get her school supplies. We first stopped and picked out her matching zebra print back pack and lunch box, then had it personalized with her name in hot pink and "bling"!  We can't wait to see how it turns out.  We then headed to Target and Kylee got everything on her list.  We wanted to go ahead and grab the supplies now before we had to fight the crowds or make 3 trips to find everything.  Much to our surprise, we got everything in one stop.  She was a little excited...grabbing and asking if she needed it.  "Do I need this calculator?  What about this thing?  Can I get the Justin Beiber folder?"

I'm a little sad she's starting kindergarten already, but I know she's going to be in great hands.
