Arkansas

After our quick trip to MO to see Charlie's Grandma Clara, we made a 3 hour trip to Arkansas to see his parents!  Every time, since Kylee could sit up, she got to drive down the dirt road to their house.  This year she was able to steer without Charlie's help.  She really thought she was driving.  Soon she will have to take turns with Brooks.

 The Vaughans all came down from Lavaca and the girls had a great time playing.

The girls had a great time playing in the sprinklers and setting off fireworks!

Aunt Betty came by for a quick visit too! 

While the girls lived it up outside, I kept Brooks in to stay cool! 

One special thing Kylee loves to do when she goes to Arkansas is ride in the back of the pick-up truck down the dirt roads.  This is especially neat to me because when I was young, I looked forward to riding in the back of my Grandpa Heavican's pick-up on the way to and from the cabin.

On the way out of town, we stopped at Grandma Betty's to catch up and let her meet Brooks. 

Kylee and Brooks were so worn out, they both slept the entire 4 hour ride home!!!  Such good travelers. 

Although I love seeing Charlie's family, the gorgeous trees, and beautiful mountains, there is nothing like being home...Home Sweet Home!
