Fall is Here!

I am so happy that the cooler weather has arrived.  I loved playing outside with my precious babies
Saturday!.  Brooks laid on the blanket as Kylee played Barbies.  Charlie and I soaked up every minute of the two of them.

Black Eye

On Monday, September 26th. Kylee bumped her head on the bar in our kitchen.  This is what happens when your eye meets the granite.  She cried as she rubbed her eye and I noticed there was immediately a huge lump and a little bleeding. We ran outside and the neighbors suggested we take her to the hospital.  Luckily the neighbor across the street is a paramedic.  He came over to take a look and suggested we just put some ice on it and keep an eye on Kylee the rest of the night.  Kylee was so brave and wanted to do nothing but sleep.  One of the funny things Kylee said was, "Call Jackie, she's a doctor."  Kylee was a lot more at ease once she knew her Jack Jack knew about her eye.  Kylee fell asleep on the couch about 7:30-8:00pm and slept the whole night through.  The next morning, Kylee's poor little eye was swollen shut.  She couldn't even open it.  Luckily, Nana was off of work due to back surgery, so she kept Kylee.  Kylee has never really cared what others thought about her...well at least she never verbally expressed it.  But, on Wednesday morning as we walked to class, Kylee cried her little eyes out.  She was certain all the kids in her class were going to make fun of her and call her ugly. This broke my heart!  I literally had to carry her in the room.  Her teacher, Mrs. Meador, grabbed Kylee and loved on her.  I later got a phone call from her teacher saying everything was good.  The next day, the class was supposed to wear purple shirts, and her teacher wore purple eye shadow on one eye.  Oh the things teachers will do for their students.  I couldn't have asked for a better teacher for Kylee.  With all of this, Kylee felt much better about going to school.  Her eye is still healing.  It's just about been every color in the rainbow.  Above is a picture of Kylee that I took when she thought I was taking a group picture.  (She didn't want me taking pictures of her eye.) I zoomed in on her so I could get a good picture of her eye.  She just happened to accidentally close them when I snapped the shot.  Perfect.  This is day 3 or 4 too.  It looked a lot worse, but she's feeling better!!!

Nana From Arkansas

We are so blessed to have great family that surrounds us.  I only wish Charlie's family lived closer.  It's always a pleasure having the Vaughans down to stay with us.  Kylee and Brooks' Nana came to visit last weekend and we loved every minute of it.

Painting outside in the gorgeous weather.

Kylee kept Nana busy from the moment she stepped out of the truck.  Here they are outside on the (broken) trampoline.

Sweet picture!

After Kylee's soccer game Sunday, we met Aunt Sally (Auntie) and Uncle Jim for a late lunch at Fish Camp.  Kylee had a great time digging for mussel shells as I caught all the fish.

Auntie pulled the mussel shell out of the water for Kylee!

Little Helpers

Kylee and Madison had a great time feeding Brooks!  What great helpers both of them are.

Kylee is an amazing big sister.  She loves to change diapers, feed, and hold Brooks.  I cannot wait to see how they interact when Brooks is old enough to talk back.

Oldies But Goodies

I have been taking pictures on my old disk, and when I downloaded the new pictures, I found these older pictures I thought were cute.  Oh the memories they brought back.
This was at our house in Royse City.  We would spend hours laying on the trampoline looking at the clouds and laughing.  We'd also jump until we couldn't jump any longer.

This was Kylee at Pecan Creek's Easter Egg Hunt when she was 3.

Kylee helping me making meatloaf one night.

Again, at our old house in Royse City.  Kylee was such a cute Cowboys fan!

Our first year at the fair with the Tuffs.  Kylee and Kristin had a blast!!!

Just a cute picture.  I love her "smile"!

Let it snow!  I so wish it was like this right now! I'd much rather live where it is cold!

Snow angels!

So excited about getting Alvin and the Chipmunks in her Easter basket.

My pretty little Princess

I love the Bryants!  Such a sweet family!  Ashli and I have been friends since high school! I'm so happy our families are getting to know each other.
