St. Patrick's Day means a little more to our family than some. My late grandpa Joe's birthday is today. He would have been 80 years old this year. We miss him dearly, but know that we will see him again one day.
Tayla and Cailey (my cousins from Nebraska) came in yesterday to stay a few nights with us. We are so excited to see them. It's been since August since we've actually got to hang out with them. Kylee cannot get enough of those girls. She's been driving them crazy I'm sure. Hugging them, kissing them, and begging them to play with her. Tayla was the lucky one that got to sleep with Kylee...while Cailey chose to sleep on the couch. Tayla said Kylee tried to cuddle with her a few times throughout the night. That's one thing I DO miss about Kylee sleeping with us. It must be a "mom thing".
After I fixed Caiely's hair & Tayla fixed Kylee's hair, they were ready for their 2011 St. Patrick's Day picture.
We had a busy day ahead of us. First we stopped at Hobby Lobby to get some stickers for Cindy. She was for sure they had Candyland stickers, but Tayla and Cailey looked everywhere and couldn't find any. Then we were off the grab lunch. I'm sad to say that the Nebraskans do not have the pleasure of stopping at Chick-Fil-A when they want. I couldn't let them leave Texas without stopping at the best fast food restaurant. This was their first ever tasting of the good ol' Chick-Fil-A!!!
When mom got off work we headed out to Color Me Mine. What a great time we had painting all our pieces. Kylee did such a good job staying focused and literally sat there painting for 3 hours. The pottery will not be ready for pick up until next week sometime. So, my wonderful friend, Carly, who came to paint as well, will bring the items to my baby shower next weekend. She's so sweet. Mom will then take Cindy, Tayla, & Cailey's items back to Nebraska Memorial Day weekend.

Kylee painted a Bug piggy bank.
Kylee spent a good hour adding small polka dots to the entire bug. She had her creative juices flowing!!!
On the way home we played the Bug Game!!! What fun it was!!!! The rules are...if you see a bug you get one point. If you see a bug convertible you get two points. If you see an old bug you get three points. If you call a bug and there it isn't a bug, you get minus a point. First person to reach 10 points wins. Charlie and I made this game up before we even had Kylee. THIS was probably the most exciting game we've played. We were yelling, shouting, laughing, and most importantly having fun. People were calling bugs when there weren't bugs, fighting over who got the bug first, and dancing with victory. We had teams for this particular game, and Cailey and I WON! Oh yeah!! Oh yeah!!
We when finally got back home, Kylee talked Cailey into jumping on the trampoline while dinner was cooking. Thank goodness I have a sweet husband. We got home and he had already put the dinner in the oven. One of the many reasons I love him so much.
Who knows what tonight and tomorrow will hold for us.

We have THE BEST FAMILY EVER!! Each one of us is so blessed to have each other. <3 Say Hello to the family!
