Saturday we went to Nana and Papa's for fajitas. While we were waiting on Charlie to get off work, Kylee, Papa, Nana, and I all went to Lowes to buy flowers. Kylee was so excited to be the llittle helper. First she helped Papa out front and came across some magets. Kylee kept calling them "magnents". :-) They then moved to the back yard and she helped Nana plant flowers in all the pots.
Charlie finally arrived after a long day at work. Him and Kylee went to the park for a quick swing and a couple rounds on the monkey bars, while Nana and I went to the store to grab a few things we forgot earlier. Papa stayed home and got the poker chips and cards ready for Charlie to get back from the park. Sure enough, as soon as Nana and I returned from the store, the guys had already begun the first game of head to head Texas Hold 'em. Nana and I prepared dinner and Kylee played with blocks, made some Kool-Aid, and snacked on all the veggies. After about 3 games of cards, Papa decided to start cooking. Us girls sat outside and cuddled with the new blankets Nana made for the baby. I have to say, it was so nice to have Nana-Papa time. Kylee truly cherishes every moment she has with them...I know I sure do too.
To top off the evening, Kylee played Papa in a few games of High Card. It started off with a few $5 bets, and soon became $1 bets. After a few laughs, Kylee's funky victory dances, and some money made...she left $48 richer. Luckily, Charlie has taught her well. She put $21 in her savings, $6 in her piggy bank, and today she spent the rest on accessories for her doll house and some baby clothes. Smart girl!!!
