It's About Time!

I finally have a chance to sit down and catch up on the blogging I have fell behind on.  There will probably be a lot of missing events, but this is what I can remember since summer.
Kylee started first grade this past August.  We couldn't be more blessed to have Mrs. Ball as Kylee's teacher.  She appreciates Kylee's corkiness and allows her to thrive. It has been a great start!!

Our family is anything but serious...including our children.  Laughing is what keeps us all sane.
This is Brooks one early morning on his way to Ms. Shannon's.  Notice his new haircut.
Our lives pretty much revolve around Kylee's soccer practice and games.  She plays both indoor and outdoor, which consists of year 'round soccer for us.  She loves it, we love, so it's totally worth every minute.

This is Kylee as we headed out the door on the first day of school.

Lost another tooth!  That's 5 now!!!  Our tooth fairy isn't very good.  I told Kylee she should fire her because half the time she forgets to come, or she leaves the tooth behind and has to come back.  Lucky for Kylee, the tooth fairy leaves a little money every trip.

Labor Day weekend we had planned for a trip to Arkansas with my family and my grandparents from Nebraska.  Unfortunately, Brooks ended up in the hospital for three days with pneumonia.  Long story short, after some tender love and care, we ended up staying one night with the others.

One of the best parts of my life!!!  Look at the pure joy on Brooks' face....all due to a little watercolor!

As rough and tough as Kylee is, she still loves to be girly!  One of her favorite things to do is participate in the Rockwall High School Cheer Camp.  They go to an all day camp, then get to perform at a football game.

Everyone says boys are totally different than girls....and they weren't lying.  Brooks is literally into everything.  He climbs on top of he kitchen table, goes up and down the stairs, loves to be outside, and doesn't mind getting dirty at all.

Ever since Brooks was born, he LOVED to play with hair.  His hair, my hair, your hair, it doesn't matter to him.  Along with his thumb, (finger over the nose) and the other hand twirling some hair, is the perfect soothing mechanism for Brooks.
Lanie's birthday this year was at the Pumpkin Patch.  We all had a great time on the hay ride, picking out pumpkins, and feeding the animals.

Kylee has made some very special friends since starting Kindergarten.  One of those sweet girls is Abby.

Kylee and Susie dressed up for the Shannon Elementary School carnival.  Kylee was a princess mummy.

Brooks is growing so fast.  He can say several words including- mom, mommy, dad, daddy, ninny, papa, Kylee, car, puppy, kitty, no, milk, cookie, more, please, thank you, go, and pretty much repeats everything anyone says.  He knows his belly, hair, teeth, toes, eyes, ears, pee-pee, booty, etc...  He wakes up and asks for a cookie first thing every morning.  He loves his sister, but doesn't love her telling him what to do.  After being blessed for several months of Shannon watching Brooks, we have decided that it is now time for him to start daycare.  He is so active and we have had a few scares, and we think it is best for him now that he's a bit older.  I am looking forward to seeing him make new friends.

This picture pretty much explains Kylee!!!  Sassy!!!  This girl has a big heart, is fully of humor, and filled with SASS!!!!

I look at this picture and thank God for blessing me with TWO healthy children.

Trick-or-Treating this year with a Puppy and Punky Brewster!

Brooks feeling much better after waking up at 12pm the day after his last hospital visit.  He swallowed an ADHD pill at the babysitters.  He was up until 1:30am high on drugs that night.

After Charlie received a job offer in Nebraska, we thought we were going to be moving, but God had other plans.  We believe that he wanted us here.  Kylee was buying an American Girl doll to travel with.  (before we thought we were staying)

Kylee and Coach Rudy

I love my sister!!!!!!!!!

Kylee at her Thanksgiving program as a Pilgrim.  She had three parts in her play.

Brooks' 2nd haircut!

Sting got 3rd place in the tournament this past weekend.

I enjoy the non-sense days where we can go to the park unplanned.  Just the three of us.  Hanging out, laughing, and enjoying each other.  They are only little once.

I will try my best to keep the blog up to date.  Happy Thanksgiving Eve!
